Venice Piazza's Food Adventure

Heard about the Food Adventure on the news two weeks ago and last Saturday afternoon, off we went to McKinley Hill to personally experience it. When you get to the venue, at the lobby, you will be welcomed by a representative to whom you can get tickets. Once you pay Php 600 (for one person only), you will be given a food passport and  identification bands for Saturday and Sunday.  Then you may start going around, your choice where you want your adventure to begin.  First restaurant : Pho Hoa Pomelo Salad Not only does this look so appealing, but filling, as well! :) Second : KBop Chapchae Vegetable and Seafood Pancake These pancakes taste better than they look like in this picture. :)  Third : Little Asia Shrimp Curls There are supposed to be six curls... Who took one away?! Hahaha! Mango dip doesn't match with the curls if you will ask me. Vietnamese Spring Rolls Meaty, meaty rolls paired with a sp...

Going Italian.

For our anniversary, the original plan was to go to Makati Shang's Circles, but a day before the schedule, that bus explosion happened which led me to just cancel and try out something else somewhere closer. But we opted to have rice instead of their usual pizzas and pastas. Soup would always be part of our meals. We chose the soup of the day which was Mushroom soup (in bowl). Herb Roasted Spring Chicken, Crab Salad Apetito and additional steamed rice, thinking our original orders wouldn't suffice. I wanted to try their malt shake, too, so I got Blueberry malt sh...

Zong

For Papa's birthday last week, Kuya thought of bringing the family to a resto somewhere in Alabang for dinner. Too bad, that day's traffic situation northbound was so bad we decided to just hit on the south. Hot Prawn Salad It was all of us' first time so we picked most of which we are familiar with: Yang Chow rice -- big serving, good for about 3-4 people; Broccoli Flower with Prawn -- halfly-cooked and "prawns" are prawns.  :) ; Hot Prawn Salad = love. Mom and I enjoyed it big time!; Wonton Soup; Fish Fillet in Soy Sauce; Roast Combination Platter, which consisted of a ssorted roasted meats of suckling pig, duck, chicken and pork served with jellyfish and century egg . Jellyfish tasted weird to me, though. The foods were overwhelming. Too much for a small group of 4. I'd have to say everything was delicious, but let me also say that they're just a step more special than the other Chinese restos I've been to. The place wasn't to...
