BBB Alabang

It's one of our friends' last days in the country before she leaves for Jeddah, so we talked about eating out as a sort of "despedida" for her. We agreed to stay at BBB in Northgate after another friend tags us on Facebook with a picture of a burger from BBB. To settle that thought that's probably going around your head, BBB stands for Big Better Burgers. Truly, these burgers are big enough to satisfy huge appetites like mine. We ordered separately and here's what I got : Friesssss! Yummeeehh! Hahalapeno Burger Meal This is it when opened- Jalapeño salsa, cheese, lettuce, ketchup Hahalapeno Burger Meal comes with potato chips and iced tea, and very reasonable for Php 152. I was on a very bad craving so I ended up getting fries, as well. I give it a thumbs up at Php 60. I also have to say that BBB has the nicest-tasting mayo I've ever tasted. :) Our foods came shortly after and we all had a great time chatting over our burgers and frie...

Via Mare

warning : you got to have great imagination because this blog doesnt contain pictures. sorry. I'm still very full as I'm doing this blog. As much as I'd like to take pictures of what we had this aftee, it would've been very impolite to my bosses if I took out my phone/cam just so you'd see. We were at St. Luke's Global City earlier for a meeting/training with the e-health team, but before going to the 5th level, one of my bosses wanted get something from Via Mare. I wasn't thinking about eating yet because I had FULL lunch. Since I was with the bosses, I couldn't say no and not eat with them. So I did. We ordered Lomi, Puto Bumbong, Bibingka and I had additional Guinomis (something similar to halo-halo but instead of milk, they added coconut milk/gata). It was our male boss who first ordered Lomi. It looked and smelled really good, he kept convincing my female boss to order one, too! She did, with the condition that I share it with her. Puto B...

Bulalo Point Turo-Turo Grill

Happy new year! Thank you for giving me another year to share with you my current and not-so-current food finds. For this year, I will try to update as much as I can so I give my two cents on foods/restaurants and other food-related stuff that may be helpful to everyone. Happy reading! *** One afternoon, I received a text message from a friend asking if I had work the next day. After saying yes and asking why, I was told we're going on a roadtrip! Excited as I was, I replied and said I was coming. Karen (short for kalad-karen) alert!! After long hours of waiting (whew! Let's not get there...), evening of the next day came. Clueless of where exactly we're going, we drove to Tagaytay talking about random things. In the middle of the trip, my friend asked if we were familiar with this place called Bulalo Point. I remember just passing along the area but never even once tried checking what the place offers. As soon as we got there, we were guided to stay at a nipa hu...

TOSH Part 2

I know I made a mistake when I said I'm gonna be posting about our TOSH Part 2 experience. I don't think I have to explain any further. Here it goes anyway... Just a day after our first (actually not the first, but first in a series of two :)) dine in at TOSH, we went to another branch (Paseo de Sta. Rosa). This time, we gave in to my real initial craving -- Supreme Nachos! It was a plateful of nachos topped with white cheese sauce, a little ground beef and diced tomatoes. Definitely for sharing. Nacho Supreme We also had Eggplant Parmigiana, Seafood Alfredo, Roast Beef Sandwich and Pumpkin Soup. Eggplant Parmigiana Seafood Alfredo Roast Beef Sandwich Pumpkin Soup The soup was thick squash soup and there's nothing really special about it. Just soup. :) Everything was about a little more than Php 800 and I think still quite reasonable to feed three people. That's about it... I'm getting really busy these days so forgive me for n...

Sbarro

After work, my friends from the clinic decided to go to the mall to relax a bit and eat. We walked around the 3rd level of Festival Mall and stopped by Sbarro. Baked Ziti and Bread Was supposed to order greens (salad), but the sight of Baked Ziti made me change my mind. Paired with bread and topped with white sauce, how can you not love Baked Ziti? At just at Php 99, you may enjoy your Ziti in either white or red/tomato-based sauce. Life is good!

Venice Piazza's Food Adventure

Heard about the Food Adventure on the news two weeks ago and last Saturday afternoon, off we went to McKinley Hill to personally experience it. When you get to the venue, at the lobby, you will be welcomed by a representative to whom you can get tickets. Once you pay Php 600 (for one person only), you will be given a food passport and  identification bands for Saturday and Sunday.  Then you may start going around, your choice where you want your adventure to begin.  First restaurant : Pho Hoa Pomelo Salad Not only does this look so appealing, but filling, as well! :) Second : KBop Chapchae Vegetable and Seafood Pancake These pancakes taste better than they look like in this picture. :)  Third : Little Asia Shrimp Curls There are supposed to be six curls... Who took one away?! Hahaha! Mango dip doesn't match with the curls if you will ask me. Vietnamese Spring Rolls Meaty, meaty rolls paired with a sp...

My Thai/Pho Hoa/Jack's Loft

We were at Festival Mall earlier this evening to have dinner and because we cannot go on a buffet or find oysters that I'm craving for, we looked further and found a new place. Seems like the owner/s have merged these restos into one, I didn't ask so I'm still confused. :D We ordered Pho without Meat, Fresh Spring Rolls,Vermicelli Bowl and Fishbowl Iced Tea. The soup was our practical choice to have at least something without meat. It came with bean sprouts and lemon. We were told it's supposed to come with basil, too, but it wasn't available. It, in itself, was already filling and a small size may be shared by 2 or even 3 people. Pho without Meat, Php 142 bean sprouts and lemon Fresh Spring Rolls are love. I remember my Makati days when I'd drop by the Salcedo Park on Saturdays and get my spring roll fix from a Vietnamese lady. These rolls, however, consisted of more noodles and veggies, and peanut sauce to dip it. It's absolutely good and ...
