Brooklyn Pizza

Last week, while at Robinson's Place Manila, we checked out this place called Brooklyn Pizza. Like the usual, we asked the crew what their specialties are.Our server suggested the White Cheese pizza. And as a lover of dairy stuff, I didn't hesitate to try this out. For our pasta, we wanted something tomato-based, so we ordered Spicy Shrimp pasta, which didn't possess the spice that its name suggested. But let me redeem its title by saying that it wasn't so bad after all. In fact, I liked it, especially paired with their complimentary toasted bread. Another winner was BP's buffalo wings. The basket contained 8 pieces of it, and quite cheap for a price of less than P200. I believe the spice I wished was on the pasta was transferred to the wings because they're H-O-TTT! In a good way, though. Pasta + bread + wings + bottomless iced tea was so filling that our White Cheese pizza slice remained untouched. Ta

Food Blogging

They say this is one of best jobs available these days. You get a lot of perks along with it, but if you ask me what brought into this is my love for food. Second, my love for writing. When I first had a job, I had a lot of chances being able to eat at places I've never been to before. And like any other people, I always had to have a "say" in foods I dig into. That's when this blog started. Just recently, food bloggers were featured on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, which gave me the drive to write even more this time. Who knows I'd get to go more places someday merely by this passion? If you get to read this, and I ask you, "what is it about food that makes you want to write about it?" This would be fun if you take time to answer. :)

Amber's Pichi-Pichi, Fresh Lumpia & more!

One afternoon, after a long walk at Divisoria and Makati, Mama and I dropped by Amber's Makati branch to take our lunch. I super missed the foods at Amber's that I really made our short stay worthwhile. Here's what I had : fresh lumpia and barbecue! Barbecue's small but the meat was tender and palatable. Fresh lumpia was... just okay. Nothing spectacular about it. :D   An order at Amber's would never be complete without having to try any of their specialties. So for take-out we had.... Tadaaaaaaaaa.... Cheese-flavored pichi-pichi! For non-cheese lovers, it is also advisable that you try their pichi-pichi with coconut shavings. Equally as yummy as the one covered in cheese. Not bad for a P4 or P5-peso snack. When we got home, the originally 20-pieces of it slowly reduced to 15... 10... Oh wait, Mama took some, too. But yes, it was I who finished most of it. Hahahaha! * Photos taken using camera phone *   xoxo :

TGIFriday's

Happy new year! Welcome to another year of food tasting and blogging! Last December 26, I got an awesome post-Christmas treat from the boyfriend. Admittedly, this was one of our dream restaurants to visit together, and for the sake of the holidays, we took a splurge. Around us were groups of people, random and of no particular age brackets. The place had posters/frames/signages of artists, celebrities, sports icons and what-nots, we couldn't understand what the real theme was. And so we got to a conclusion that maybe that is what happens on a Friday. Anything goes. We were served with a menu and picked out dishes that were appealing. We ordered two kinds of soup : French Onion soup and the Soup of the Day, after being told it had cheese, which I love :) Also we asked for Buffalo Wings for appetizer, and Half Rack Baby Back Ribs and rice. Fifteen minutes seemed quite short as we got too busy watching the race being shown on a sports channel. First up wer
