Children's Party, Coffee and Noodles

Hi everyone!

I've been "busy" the past months, and though I've been meaning to write, it's like something's taking hold of my drive to write again. Okay, truth is, I'm caught in between busy and lazy that's why I was unable to update this blog. Anyhooo, I'm back to share about the most recent happenings.

Yesterday was the birthday celebration of one of my High School friends' daughter. Off we went to Las Villas de Manila Clubhouse in Southwoods to take part in the Doc McStuffins-themed event hosted by Ms. Amor Fernandez. In all fairness, she was good. Not only did she do the hosting and balloon twisting, she's a ventriloquist and a magician, too. She was able to catch everyone's attention by her spontaneity.

Desserts table was a hit. Same goes with the cotton candy and ice cream stations. Aside from the meals prepared, snack booths for fries, nachos, mini burgers were there the whole time as well. Kids surely had a great time, like we, adults, did. Thanks, Elaine and Raf for inviting us! :)

After the party, I and one of my good friends, April, hung out a a coffee shop at Festival Mall for our usual catch-up session.

Before heading home, it felt like I needed to have my ramen fix and so we walked along the area to check out a place where there's ramen. But none. There was actually one, but still not open. We decided to look around West Gate and after a few rounds of site survey, we landed to this Korean restaurant called Seoul Koreana.

At the ground floor we were welcomed by an accommodating staff, who, when asked about their noodle soups specialty immediately gave her recommendation. It was HaeMul Kalguksu (Seafood Homemade Noodle Soup) for us. :)

Side dishes are a normal part of every Korean meal. Five of them were laid on our table while waiting for our order. What's so nice about it? It's unlimited. I have a thing for Kimchi, really. Also that sweet and spicy dilis.

In just a few minutes, our noodle soup was served. Placed in a big bowl, which consisted of vegetables, crab, mussels, clams, and shrimps, were thick noodles and broth. Not too savory, just right.

HaeMul Kalguksu, 350 php
Another plus is that there's free wi-fi. If you're one of those people who love to check-in wherever you're at, this surely will make you happy.

As for the price, 350 php was a reasonable price for the noodles that we had, in my opinion.

I'd probably come back again in the future to try out more of those Korean stuff.
